Document issued in Valladolid in 1676 by the Holy Office of the Inquisition, granting Don Antonio Calvo the title of ”familiar, ” a lay position with support functions for the institution. The typographic composition is organized in a geometric frame, with ornate capitals and heraldic symbols typical of the Inquisition, such as the cross flanked by an olive branch and a sword. The text, justified in Baroque Spanish, reflects the solemnity and legal severity of the period, accompanied by handwritten signatures at the bottom that authenticate the document.
