The theatrical costumes, the intensely expressive faces, and the triangular composition generate a visual dynamic charged with symbolism. The wooded background and the barely hinted architecture on the horizon reinforce the dramatic and classical tone of the episode, possibly linked to the iconography of Artemis, Cephalus, or Renaissance pastoral scenes. The execution stands out for its treatment of warm lighting, the muscular modeling, and the contrast between the bodies and the environment.
