Jug and Plate, Valencian School, 19th Century - Cream-glazed ceramic. Measurement: Jug: 23 x 16 x 16 cm; Plate: 4 x 42 x 42 cm. Domestic set consisting of a globular-bodied jug with double handle and a large circular plate. Both pieces feature a light-colored glaze with a soft sheen, characteristic of Valencian ceramic production of the period. On the base of the plate is a stamped inscription referring to a Valencian confectionery, adding valuable historical and geographical context. Locally crafted in Manises toward the late 19th century, the set reflects the region’s pottery tradition and its excellence in creating utilitarian objects of notable technical and aesthetic quality.
