Large-format sculpture depicting Saint Anthony of Padua holding the Christ Child, a motif widely used in Flemish Baroque devotional iconography. The work is notable for the expressive power of the faces and the meticulous detail in the folds of the habit, characteristic features of Northern European religious sculpture. The whole exudes serenity and fervor, with a balanced combination of elegance and naturalism. It retains a beautiful patina and traces of the original polychromy.
