Magnificent dressed sculpture of Our Lady of Sorrows from the Spanish School of the 19th century, crafted for processional or domestic devotional purposes. The face and hands are finely carved and polychromed, featuring expressive naturalism. The sorrowful expression, enhanced by applied glass tears and a deeply dramatic gaze, reflects the pathos characteristic of 19th-century Marian iconography. She is dressed in traditional embroidered black velvet robes with antique lace, holding a rosary and delicate handkerchief. The figure is crowned with an original 19th-century embossed silver crown of remarkable silversmithing quality, greatly enhancing its devotional and artistic value. A representative example of Spanish religious sculpture from the period, in very good condition.
