The composition depicts a nude young model reclining amidst brightly colored fabrics. The original canvas shows slight paint loss, easily restored in a specialized laboratory. Luigi Bianchi, trained at the Brera Academy, was a student of the renowned Francesco Hayez and quickly distinguished himself as a painter of historical and romantic subjects, which brought him recognition and prestige. This nude is an unusual subject within his oeuvre, painted towards the end of his career, between 1910 and 1914. Lot in international warehouse (within the EU).
