Oval plate from the East India Company, China, Qing Dynasty, Kangxi period, 17th–18th century - White porcelain decorated with underglaze cobalt blue. Measures 20–26 cm. Oval-shaped plate with a central decoration of pavilions arranged around a lake, integrated into a balanced landscape that combines architecture, water, and natural elements. The design, executed with fluid and confident strokes, displays variations in intensity characteristic of underglaze cobalt blue, adding depth and dynamism to the scene. The rim is organized with decorative bands that frame the main motif and reinforce the composition. The surface shows minor imperfections on the edge, consistent with its age and use. This piece, produced during the Kangxi period (1662–1722) of the Qing Dynasty, belongs to the category of porcelains intended for international trade, where technical quality and compositional clarity consolidated the prestige of Chinese porcelain in export markets.
