Octagonal plate with a complex central scene of a Chinese architectural landscape, where traditional roofed pavilions, stylized staircases, bridges, and pagodas are articulated on different planes, creating a marked sense of spatial depth. The scene unfolds in a lakeside setting enlivened by hills and vegetation, rendered with meticulous and rhythmic detail. The wide rim is profusely decorated with dragons and floral scrolls, adding ornamental force and contrasting with the brightness of the central field. The piece exhibits minor imperfections on the rim, consistent with its age and use. This type of decoration, characteristic of the Qianlong period (1736–1795), reflects the compositional richness and technical refinement of 18th-century Chinese export porcelain.
