Octagonal plate with a central lakeside scene, combining bodies of water, gentle hills, and architectural elements arranged in a balanced and serene composition. The drawing, executed with confident lines, alternates areas of greater chromatic density with more open areas, creating visual depth. The rim features continuous ornamentation of floral and geometric motifs that frames the main scene. The piece has a visible crack, but this does not detract from the overall quality. Produced in China during the 18th century, this plate belongs to the group of porcelains intended for export to the East India Company, prized for their balance between functionality and decorative richness.
