Octagonal plate of the East India Company with precious objects, China, Qing Dynasty, 18th Century - Underglaze cobalt blue decorated porcelain. Measures 37.5 x 30.5 cm. Octagonal plate with a refined central composition of precious objects arranged in a vegetal setting, where ritual vessels and symbolic elements are integrated into a carefully articulated flowering grove. The design combines precise lines and shaded areas that add volume and depth, while the light background enhances the clarity of the motif. The rim is decorated with a rich, continuous ornamental band that reinforces the piece's decorative character. Small imperfections on the edge are characteristic of its age. This type of iconography, common in 18th-century Chinese export porcelain, reflects the taste for symbolic and ornamental compositions intended for the Western market.
