Temmoku-type bowl, China, Song Dynasty, 10th–13th century - Stoneware covered with a brown ”Temmoku” glaze, also known as ”hare fur.” ​​Measures 8 cm high x 12 cm in diameter. The bowl has an open profile with a slightly inward-facing lip, covered with a thick, dark glaze featuring fine vertical striations reminiscent of a hare's fur. The glaze is concentrated on the inside and flows naturally towards the outside, leaving the unglazed base visible. The surface offers a subtle interplay of nuances and textures resulting from the controlled firing of the kiln. A Chinese production from the Song Dynasty (960–1279), highly prized for its aesthetic restraint and profound spiritual significance linked to the tea tradition.
