Holy Family, religious sculpture, 16th century - Polychrome wood. Dimensions: 86 cm x 56 cm x 34 cm. Sculptural group of the Holy Family composed of Saint Joseph, standing, wearing a turban and long tunic, next to Saint Anne, seated, who holds the figure of the naked Christ Child on her knees, while the young Mary stands on the other side of the group. The figures are arranged in a closed and balanced composition, with gentle gestures and spatial relationships that reinforce the intimate and devotional character of the scene. The carving features clear volumetric modeling, with broad and rhythmic folds in the drapery, accentuated by the polychromy of warm and contrasting tones. The woodwork reveals meticulous craftsmanship, visible in the faces, hands, and hierarchical arrangement of the figures. The work belongs to the religious sculpture of the 16th century, where sacred narrative is translated into accessible compositions with a strong emotional charge, conceived for contemplation and devotion.
