Hexagonal bronze vase of archaic inspiration, Japan, Meiji Period, 19th Century - Bronze. Dimensions: Height 31.5 cm x Mouth diameter 26.5 cm. Hexagonal vessel with a wide, faceted body and a tall, flared neck, constructed from well-defined planes that accentuate its volume and sculptural presence. The surface is molded with archaic motifs in relief, regularly arranged on each side, evoking decorative repertoires from ancient traditions reinterpreted with modern sensibility. The bronze has a homogeneous dark patina, with slight tonal variations that highlight the quality of the casting and the sharpness of the reliefs.
