Jun Yao cup, Lianzi type, Chinese production, Yuan Dynasty, 13th-14th century - Porcelain stoneware with Jun Yao glaze. Measures 6.5 x 16 cm. Deep Lianzi-shaped cup with a gently open profile and thin walls, covered in a monochrome turquoise glaze enlivened by irregular purple splashes that emerge spontaneously on the surface, creating a vibrant and organic pictorial effect. The reverse reveals the beige-toned clay, emphasizing the piece's textural character. The glaze exhibits subtle craquelure and tonal variations characteristic of Jun Yao firings, highly prized for their aesthetic unpredictability. This ceramic belongs to the Jun Yao production of the Yuan Dynasty, between the 13th and 14th centuries, where the pursuit of chromatic and tactile effects transforms each piece into a unique example of great artistic value.
