This motto refers to a renowned speech by Count Giuseppe Viscovich (Perasto, 1728 – Perasto, 1804), delivered during the solemn surrender of the Serenissima’s banner—a moment imbued with deep meaning of loyalty and honor. The piece stands out for the expressive strength of its modeling, the quality of the material, and the beautiful patina acquired over time. Its composition, of noble balance and refined craftsmanship, recalls the Venetian sculptural models of the Baroque period, reinterpreted in the 19th century.
