Western Zhou - Former French Private Col. - Exceptional Shang Chinese Imperial Bell, cylindrical ”Bo” with an ovoid section, with a zoomorphic spike depicting two facing elephants and, on either side of the rim, two pairs of chimeras. On the sides, in four registers, are nailed friezes and protuberances framing two calligraphic cartouches. Bronze with excavation patina. China. Western Zhou. 28 x 15 cm. Former French collection.
