Thangka of Amitayus' Paradise, Tibetan school, 18th century - Polychrome pigments and gilt highlights on cotton canvas with brocade. Dimensions: 57 x 43 cm; with brocade: 78 x 55 cm. The scene depicts Amitayus seated in a meditative pose before palatial architecture, holding a ritual vessel. The composition is organized into registers populated by numerous deities, seated figures, protective figures, and attendants, distributed among clouds, terraces, and vegetation. In the lower section appear groups of figures and floral offerings, while the upper section incorporates temples and sacred figures surrounded by mountainous landscapes and cloud formations.
