Pouring jug with black glaze, Yuan school of China, 13th-14th century - Light-bodied stoneware with a glossy black glaze and cream-colored slip effects. Measures 17 cm in height. The jug has an ovoid body and wide shoulder, a flared cylindrical neck, two arched side handles, a pouring spout applied to the body, and a small ring handle opposite. The surface is covered with a glossy black glaze with brown highlights and areas of cream slip. The base reveals the light-bodied stoneware. It shows wear and variations typical of the firing process.
