An interesting crucifix made following Gothic models from Limoges, probably between the 18th and 19th centuries, conceived within the historicist tradition of reviving medieval typologies. The cross features ends decorated with enamels representing the four Evangelists, an iconographic device with a long tradition in European religious metalwork.
