Neolithic steatopygous female figurine no. 1, 5th-4th millennium BC, eastern Mediterranean region / Balkans-Black Sea - Grayish-white marble. Measurements: approx. 26 cm high; weight: approx. 552 g. Steatopygous female figure with arms folded over the torso and stylized body form, linked to Neolithic idols from the eastern Mediterranean, southern and eastern Europe, and the Black Sea region. It retains a light surface with patina, small pits, natural veining, and traces of old polishing and carving. Intact condition, with no indicated restorations or repairs. Provenance: family collection, Poland-Greece; important Greek collection RWB Pardiak, 1960-2000; acquired before the 1960s; private Greek collection by descent since the 1930s; reputed to have been found or excavated before 1930 in the Balkans, eastern Black Sea, and upper mainland Greece.
