Neolithic steatopygous female figurine no. 3, 5th-4th millennium BC, eastern Mediterranean region / Balkans-Black Sea - Grayish-white marble. Measurements: approx. 20 cm high; weight: approx. 776 g. Steatopygous female figure with a schematic head, arms placed across the chest, and accentuated body volumes, following models linked to the so-called ”Mother Goddess” figures of Neolithic Europe. The piece stands out for its powerful sculptural presence and the synthesis between abstraction and ritual symbolism. It retains a light surface with pitting, natural veining, and traces of polishing. Intact condition, with no indicated restorations or repairs. Provenance: Poland-Greece family collection; important Greek collection RWB Pardiak, 1960-2000; acquired before the 1960s; Greek private collection by descent since the 1930s; reputed to have been found or excavated before 1930 in the Balkan area, eastern Black Sea, and upper mainland Greece.
