Allegorical portrait of a gentleman. Signed Lázaro. Spanish School. 20th century - Oil on canvas. Dimensions 81 x 40 cm; frame 99 x 59 cm. A unique, symbolic composition that integrates the portrait of an intellectual with ethereal figures barely sketched in the background. The figure, depicted with glasses and a reflective expression, emerges amidst glazes and diagonal light effects that create a dreamlike atmosphere. The expressionistic style and formal simplification lend psychological intensity to the image, which stands out for its conceptual force and its artistic language characteristic of mid-20th-century Spanish painting.
