Woman Facing the Sea. Signed Domingo Álvarez Gómez, Spanish School, 21st Century - Pastel on paper. Dimensions: 75 x 37 cm; 105 x 65 cm. Vertical composition featuring a female figure gazing at the sea horizon with her back to the viewer, holding a wide-brimmed hat by the shore. The black and white dress, enlivened by a multicolored scarf that gathers her hair, contrasts with the soft blues and greens of the sea and sky, creating an atmosphere of luminous serenity. The work stands out for the delicacy of the anatomical modeling and the ethereal treatment of the light reflected on the damp sand. The pastel technique allows for smooth chromatic transitions and a velvety texture that reinforces the feeling of Mediterranean calm. The piece falls within the realm of contemporary Spanish realism with an Impressionist sensibility, interested in the poetic capture of the human figure integrated into the coastal landscape. The composition possesses remarkable elegance and visual balance. 75 x 37 cm.
