Bidspirit auction | Still Life with Jugs. Signed

Still Life with Jugs. Signed Vicente Ruiz. Valencian School. 20th Century - Oil on canvas. Dimensions: 49 x 38 cm (666 x 57 cm with frame). Composition of white earthenware jugs and containers against a background of pure colors: yellow, violet, and blue. The brushwork is vigorous, with thick impasto that lends volume and texture to the forms. The saturated colors and the spontaneity of the brushstrokes recall the Post-Impressionist style and the Mediterranean tradition of 20th-century Valencian painting. Vicente Ruiz's signature in the lower right corner reinforces this stylistic attribution.
