Bidspirit auction | Beach scene. Serna Ramos. Spanish

Beach scene. Serna Ramos. Spanish School. 20th century - Oil on paper. Dimensions: 18 x 13 cm (32 x 29 cm with frame). A schematic representation of human figures on a beach, rendered with loose brushstrokes and energetic impasto that suggest movement and spontaneity. Signed by Serna Ramos and dated 1985, the work demonstrates a lyrical approach to landscape painting, in which color and line take precedence over visual narrative. The warm tones contrast with the navy blue, establishing an emotional dialogue between figure and environment. This aesthetic evokes a lyrical abstraction rooted in Spanish Informalism.
