Circa 1990 - Natural red coral from the Pacific (Isididae), 925 sterling silver with gold plating. Adjustable length from 43.5 to 47 cm; spherical coral beads 4.5 mm. Weight 15.5 grams. This Italian jewelry necklace, arranged in a rosary style, is composed of untreated red coral beads separated by small gold spheres. The design includes a central medal and a crucifix, elements that define its devotional character, as well as a clasp and extension chain for adjusting the length. The regularity of the beads and the contrast between the red of the coral and the gold finish of the silver create a balanced piece, designed around 1990 within an Italian artisanal tradition.
