It consists of three parts: Part 1-Primitive medicine. Medicine of the Ancient East and classical antiquity. Part 2-Medicine of the middle ages and Renaissance. Part 3-History of medicine from the seventeenth century to the present day. A rare, beautifully illustrated edition. This book presents a concise but fairly complete outline of the fate of medicine over the centuries, giving the minimum information that is mandatory for every educated doctor. The advantage of the book is the abundance of drawings that perfectly illustrate various points in the history of the development of medical art. At the end of the book is an alphabetical index containing the names of doctors and scientists whose work is in contact with medical science.
