An excellent state of preservation. The cards appear to have been printed in a smaller print run and sold separately. This is evidenced by the rarity of complete copies on the antique market. A monograph by the English war journalist Ellis Ashmead-Bartlett (1881-1931), who was with the Lega army during the entire siege of Port Arthur. This book is considered in the West one of the main works on the Russian-Japanese war. It was also one of the few translated into Russian that described historical events from the point of view of the enemy .
