Lifetime edition. Dmitry Merezhkovsky (1866-1941)-writer, symbolist poet, philosopher. The novel trilogy 'Christ and the Antichrist' is a symbol of the ongoing struggle between good and evil. For each part, the author chose periods of time when, in his opinion, this struggle was most evident. D. S. Merezhkovsky called all this one book "about one". The beginning of work on this work was preceded by a change in the writer's worldview, his "arrival" to religion. The main idea of the trilogy is the struggle and merging of two principles, pagan and Christian, an attempt to develop a "new" Christianity.
