M. [Book publishing "Vulture".] Printing house of V. M. Sablin, 1908. - 215, [5] p. Publisher's cover, standard format (14 x 19 cm). The cover is worn and dirty, the book is professionally restored-the loss of the spine is eliminated, the attachment to the spine of the front and back parts of the cover is restored, the perimeter of the title page is strengthened; pages 191-192 (the title of the last section) are missing, the loss does not affect the text in the upper corner of pages 133-134, on page 165, they tried to paint a simple pencil.

[Auslander Sergey Abramovich (1886-1937) - writer, playwright, critic.

The son of a Jew-narodovoltsa, exiled to Siberia.

He began writing very early under the influence of his maternal uncle, the famous poet Mikhail Kuzmin. He worked in the magazines "Golden Fleece", "Libra", "Russian Thought", led the theater department in the magazine "Apollo". Auslander was one of the most prominent representatives of the stylistic trend in the prose of Russian symbolism.

In 1908, his first collection of short stories "Golden Apples" was published, followed by the novel "The Last Satellite" (1913). During the First World War, he was at the front, published a collection of patriotic stories "The Heart of a Warrior" (1916). He wrote several plays. He was a war correspondent in the White Army, in 1918-1919 he lived and worked in Kolchakovsky Omsk, served as Kolchak's press secretary, author of Kolchak's biography and his main speechwriter.

In 1922, he returned to Moscow. He restored the documents in his real name by order of V. R. Menzhinsky. And then, probably, he kept in touch with the chairman of the OGPU, Menzhinsky, through their old acquaintance in pre-revolutionary literary circles, having a kind of security certificate from him. One of the founders of the Moscow Youth Theater, in 1924-1928, a traveling collective under the leadership of O. V. Rudakova.

On October 22, 1937, Auslander was arrested on charges of counter-revolutionary agitation and shot on December 11 of the same year.]
