The binding is worn; the block splits on the first and last pages; notes in the margins in pencil and single ink.

[Bishop Ignatius (born Dmitry Alexandrovich Bryanchaninov; February 5 [17], 1807, Pokrovskoye village, Gryazovets district, Vologda province — April 30 [may 12], 1867, Nikolo-Babaevsky monastery, Kostroma district, Kostroma province) was a Bishop of the Russian Orthodox Church.
Theologian and preacher.
He was glorified by the Russian Orthodox Church as a Saint at the local Council in 1988. 
Ignatius, in his 29th letter to N. N. Muravyov-Karsky, predicted that Russia "is destined to be of great importance", that it "will prevail over the universe", while he referred to the 38th Chapter of the book of Ezekiel (see Rosh) and the 20th Chapter of the Apocalypse.]
