St. Petersburg. Edition of the category of fine Literature of the Imperial Academy of Sciences. 1909 XXXIV, 448 p., fig. Hardcover, size 16 x 22 cm. Extremely good condition, traces of blue pencil on one edge, slight scuffs on the edges of the binding.
This first issue of the "Academic Library of Russian Writers" contains the works of A.V. Koltsov, which is based on the text adopted in the first posthumous edition of the "Poems of Koltsov" (1846), edited by V. G. Belinsky. The book includes poems - 1827-1842, letters, youth works, Russian proverbs, sayings, river-lands and proverbs, collected by A.V. Koltsov, poems attributed to A.V. Koltsov. Koltsov, a review of his manuscripts, publications of works and literature about Koltsov, a review of Koltsov's translations into foreign languages and portraits of Koltsov, several articles about the poet's work and a biographical sketch. The best pre-revolutionary, academic edition of the poet.
