Sun of Russia (Sun of Russia) is an illustrated weekly magazine. Published in St. Petersburg in 1910-1916 in the publishing house "penny".
The editor and publisher of the newspaper "kopek" and weekly magazine "Sun of Russia", and after emigration, the owner of the Berlin publishing house "Russian art" was Alexander E. Kogan (1878-1949). The magazine was published with the help of the latest, in the then Russia is not yet known, foreign rotary machines.
In addition to A. Kogan editor of the magazine was Z. N. Zhuravskaya.
The magazine had color illustrated covers; printed reviews of art exhibitions, biographies of young and venerable artists, produced special issues:
The 20th anniversary of the Opera career of F. I. Chaliapin, with portraits made by Miron Scherling[1], was dedicated to the number in 1913;
"In memory of A. P. Chekhov" was dedicated to № 25 (228), June 1914 with an essay by F. D. Batyushkov "Two meetings with A. P. Chekhov" — K. I. Chukovsky wrote to I. E. Repin on July 8, 1914:
Just out of Chekhov No. "the Sun of Russia" — a delight! What pictures, how everything is arranged, how much courage, wit, grace! I'm not talking about technology.

"Military issue" — № 5 February 1915 — contained large portraits of Emperor Nicholas II and Serbian Prince Alexander
The magazine printed Arkady Averchenko, Sasha Cherny, Basil Adicheskii, Alexander Perfilyev, Nikolai Agnivtsev; I put the pictures Ivan Grabowski; began the career of B. E. Efimov.
