Collection of 10 books and magazines dealing with Jewish art, including:
 1. Ost und West - Collection of 5 Periodicals: April-Brillin, August 1914 (4-8). Situations are reasonable: covers are detached, yellowing to pages, stains, wear. * Ost und West (in German: "East and West") was a Zionist periodical for Jewish culture and Jewish wisdom. The journal was published in Berlin in 1901 to 1923. The spirit of the journal was formulated by Martin Buber who advocated presenting Judaism as a culture rather than as a religion. And a culture rooted in the East, the Semitic East, the Asian-Muslim, in the spirit of orientalism that saw the East, and in particular the Land of Israel in a romantic spirit and Eastern Europe, where a vibrant Jewish culture thrives. Its founder and editor was Davis Trietsch and his deputy was Arthur Silberglite. The journal appeared until August 1914 as a monthly publication. During the First World War it continued to appear, but less regularly between twice a year (1915) and eight times a year (1918). It was then a bi-monthly periodical (1919-1921) and a quarterly (1922-1923). The journal knew financial difficulties. Between 1907 and 1914 a number of pages were leased to the "Kol Israel Haverim" company, in exchange for funding. In 1923, with the collapse of the Weimar Republic, the journal was closed.
The journal combined works of art, mainly Art Nouveau engravings (mainly by Ephraim Moshe Lilien) with artistic and critical writing. Among the writers in the magazine were Buber, Ludwig Geiger, Max Nordau, Alfred Nussig, Joseph Halevy, Israel Levy, David Zvi Miller, Fabius Schach, Abraham Epstein, Adolf Rosenzweig. The language of the journal was German, and for the first time in this language it was translated from Yiddish. In addition, the non-Jewish poet Bries von Munchausen, who later became a Nazi, published his poems. 2. Menorah monthly - Judisches Familienblatt fur wissenschaft-kunst und Literatur, Vienna-Frankfurt 1926, fourth year, including 4 monthly journals August-November (8-11). In good condition: detached bindings, slight yellowing to pages, stains on some leaves, * Menorah magazine, dealing with Jewish culture, was published in 1923-1932. After the third year the subtitle of the magazine was changed. From the introduction to the first issue: "Many are now the Hebrew newspapers, all of which have a limited tendency and were political or religious. But this paper has set a more comprehensive objective for its aims: its aim is to assist this aspiration to bridge bridges between the various parties in Judaism and to unite them on a single cultural basis ... This newspaper sanctifies the house and the Jewish family that has always been a strong fortress in Judaism. " The magazine includes many articles on art, among the artists listed in the issues: Marc Chagall, Max Liebermann, Hanna Orloff, Maurizio Gottlieb, Jacob Steinhart and others; Among the writers and writers: Dubnov, Isaac Babel, Ahad Ha'am, Meir Balaban, Shalom Asch, Arthur Schnitzler, and others. 3. Verhalen en Legenden van Israel (in Dutch: Stories and Haggadot of Israel), ed. Stahl, with illustrations by van L. Pinkhof, issued by Zutphen-W. J. Thieme & Cie, 1925, 366 pages, hardcover, upper gilt leaf cutting.
