The photo book ”Azerbaijan Carpet” tells about the history of the development of carpet weaving in general and in Azerbaijan in particular (all illustrations are in color). It tells how, thanks to the consistent process of development of labor and tools, technical improvements and artistic innovations were achieved in the art of making an oriental carpet, from ancient times to the present day. In connection with the development of the carpet industry, decorative folk art and one of its branches - carpet weaving - are entering a new phase, acquiring new forms and compositions. All this is interestingly described in this book. Latif Husein oglu Karimov (17 November 1906 in Shusha – 8 September 1991 in Baku) was an Azerbaijani carpet designer known for his contributions to a variety of artistic fields, as well as for a number of books classifying and describing various designs of Azerbaijani rugs. He was awarded the honorary titles of Honored Artist of the Azerbaijan SSR (1955), and People's Artist of the Azerbaijan SSR
