Nicely-done, well-illustrated history of the author's immediate family - primarily his father and mother and his four brothers. His father emigrated from Russia to the United States in 1906, settling first in Philadelphia; later the family lived in Wildwood, New Jersey.(There was also a Chicago branch of the family, that of his father's brother.)Although inescapably anecdotal, the book is well put-together and is rich with detail about of the life of this American Jewish family. It's not just a nostalgia-fest, however, as the author appears to be reasonably forthright about various matters such as sibling rivalries, the difficult deaths of some family members, the lack of success of one brother, etc. Above all, though, it radiates the author's love of his family, and of his country, and of his faith. Every family should be so lucky as to have someone who takes the trouble to assemble this kind of chronicle.
