Albert Fuss studied at the art school in Frankfurt am Main. He worked as a graphic artist in Frankfurt am Main in the 1920s. His posters for the Hamburg-America Line and packaging for the cigarette and pharmaceutical industries are particularly well-known. Fuss also worked for the Frankfurt International Fair for many years. In the mid-1920s he was accepted into the Darmstadt Secession and became artistic director of the Frankfurter Zeitung. He also taught at the Technical School for Book and Art Crafts in Frankfurt. During the National Socialist era, Fuss also created graphics for the NSDAP and designed the cover and wooden box for a parchment manuscript of Adolf Hitler's book Mein Kampf. This manuscript was given to Hitler as a birthday present in 1936. After 1945, Fuss continued to work as a graphic designer. For example, in 1949 he designed the newspaper headline of the newly founded Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
