He was born in Neu-Ulm and died in Hamburg Kurt Pfister (born Konrad Pfister on January 16, 1895 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein; died May 26, 1951 in Munich) was a German writer, ministerial official, art historian and musicologist. Karl Schmidt-Rottluff (Karl Schmidt until 1905; 1 December 1884 – 10 August 1976) was a German expressionist painter and printmaker; he was one of the four founders of the artist group Die Brücke.
