Weight: 630 gr. Hermann Struck (6 March 1876 – 11 January 1944) was a German Jewish artist known for his etchings. Arnold Zweig (1887 ? 1968) was a German writer and anti-war and anti-fascist activist. He is best known for his six-part cycle on World War I. From 1917 Arnold Zweig, soldier since 1915, was a member of the press department of Commander-in-Chief East. There, the secular Jew Zweig came into contact with Eastern Jewry, leaving a lasting impression on him. In Lithuania, which was occupied by the Germans since 1915, he met the graphic artist Hermann Struck, who was a religious Zionist. When Poland annexed the district of Vilnius and broke terror over the Jews, Struck and Zweig found themselves in a gesture of accusatory pity in the common work.
