After a short stay with his parents in Argentina, he returned to Russia. He taught for many years in Hebrew schools in Bessarabia and headed the ”Tarbut” center in Romania. He began his literary activity by writing in Hebrew newspapers and often published poems and allegories in children's weeklies. In 1935, he immigrated to Israel and taught in Moshav Nahalal and Rehovot.
