French antique ring jewelry box - French antique ring jewelry box, circa late 19th century. Made of spelter (metal alloy) with a silver patina, designed in an oval shape and adorned with neoclassical-style plant decorations around it. The lid is set with a hand-painted miniature depicting a woman wearing an ornate wide-brimmed hat. The interior of the box is lined in pink. Signed ”Depose” on the bottom and numbered. Dimensions: 8 x 5.5 x 3 cm. Weight: 223 grams. The hinge of the box is broken and secured with a metal wire. Reasonable wear to the silvering.
