Trench Art Shell-Vase Backpack - World War I - Trench Art Shell-Vase Backpack - World War I, circa 1916, old military ”trench work”, decorated with delicate burnishing in a plant pattern in the style of the period (reminiscent of the Art Nouveau style) and inscribed with the years: 1914, 1915, 1916. On the bottom are signatures of the shell pod, probably made in 1913. Height: 39 cm, diameter: 11 cm, 2.95 kg. Patina of age, light general wear.
