Sefer Migdal Oz/Tumas Yesharim, drama in verse composed on the occasion of the wedding of R. Yisroel Binyamin Bassan by R. Moshe Chaim Luzzato (RaMCHaL). This was written in 1727 when The RaMCHaL was only twenty years old. With addenda; Pesach HaMigdal with a biography of The RaMCHaL in Latin by Meir Lettris and notes by Shmuel Dovid Luzzato (ShaDaL). R. Moshe Chaim Luzzato (1707 -1746), was an Italian Jewish rabbi, kabbalist, and philosopher. He was born in Padua, Italy into a distinguished family. His genius was obvious from a very early age, and as a young man he was already well known for his complete mastery of the entire Biblical, Rabbinic and Kabbalistic literature. Though most well-known for his sefer Mesilas Yesharim – perhaps the most popular Mussar work in Jewish literature - the main focus in most of his numerous works was on Kabbalah. Until today, his profound works continue to touch and inspire Jews of all groups.
