State of Israel Emblem, Vintage Hanging Plaque - State of Israel emblem, vintage hanging plaque, printed on cardboard in cobalt blue and silver, mounted on a fibreboard panel. With a silver-toned metal-clad lower edge.  43×34 cm. Moderate wear, minor scorching and light abrasions, some fading in the upper left area.  The emblem was designed by brothers Gabriel and Maxim Shamir and adopted in 1949.  The seven-branched menorah, based on the relief from the Arch of Titus, is flanked by olive branches symbolising the aspiration for peace, with the inscription 'Israel' at the base.  530 g.
