Antique Traditional Turkmen Silver Teke Pectoral Pendant - An antique traditional Turkmen silver Teke pectoral pendant, Turkmenistan, circa 1900. Crafted by hand in silversmithing work, with hammered/raised relief work and sawwork, decorated with gilding in the Parcel Gilt technique (partial gilding). Set with gemstones: carnelian and amber. Acid tested and reacts well (estimated to be approximately 600–700 silver, relatively high). Total weight: 200 g. Dimensions: approximately 23 x 13 cm. Light wear; an old repair to a cord connection where one of the applications has detached.
