Traditional Yemenite Headdress Ornament ”Labbeh” - Traditional Yemenite headdress ornament ”Labbeh”, 19th century. Made of metal incorporating a low percentage of silver, crafted in quality folk hand silversmith raised relief work. An upper row of rigid square links decorated with filigree wire work, from which long chain applications hang — a dense fabric composed of flat beads and spherical metal beads. At each end of the ornament, two trapezoidal-shaped elements. Total weight: 295 g. Width: 30 cm. Height: approx. 18 cm. Light wear, patina.
