Including: 1. In Arabischen Oasen (”In Arabian Oases”), by Wilhelm Hauff, published by Gesellschaft für Graphische Industrie, Vienna–Leipzig, 1923. Edited and designed within the series ”Moonlight from the Land of the East” by Ernst Ronau. Double illustrated title page printed with vivid color illustrations in an oriental style, designed by the artist and graphic designer Bernd Steiner.  166 pages, hardcover.  17.5 cm. Black adhesive-tape repairs to the spine of the cover. 2. Andersens Märchen Auswahl (Andersen's Fairy Tales — A Selection), containing a selected anthology from the complete fairy tales of Hans Christian Andersen, published by Gelber Verlag, Dachau (near Munich), circa 1920. Decorated throughout with silhouette illustrations and paper-cut artwork by the artist H. von Gumppenberg, integrated throughout the book — a traditional technique characteristic of German folk art of the early 20th century — presenting complex compositions of fairies, fairy-tale figures, forest creatures, and motifs from nature that frame the text.  The title page is decorated with a bold black woodcut presenting an intimate story-reading scene within a rich botanical border.  209 (3) pages.
