Vintage English Ostrich Leather Bag - Quality Vintage English Ostrich Leather Bag, circa 1940s-50s. Includes original coin purse and two small mirrors. Curved sides with a top grille and ostrich leather clasp. Leather in very good condition with minimal scuffs mainly along the edges, no cracks, and a nice patina from age. The handle is still sturdy and strong, with minimal wrinkles at the edges, and folds to the side on a swivel mechanism, useful for storage. There is a pull-tab at the front for opening. The gilded clasp and frame have minimal scuffs or loss of gilding and are still shiny. In clean condition, with almost no signs of age or use (remarkable considering the bag's age). Brown suede lined interior. Signed ”F” England. 13x26 cm.
