”Butterfly” Agate Geode (Joud) Stones on a Decorative Stand - ”Butterfly” Agate Geode (Joud) Stones — two matching halves of agate geode (joud) stones, cut from the same natural rock and mounted together on a black metal stand, their wings forming a butterfly shape. Presumably Brazil.  The butterfly wings display a smooth, polished face in deep, smoky gray-purple tones, framed by bright edges and natural rind; at the center of each ”wing” is a small, sparkling crystal cavity (geode). Mounted on an elegant black metal stand. Total weight: 295 g. Height: 8.5 cm (stones alone: 7.5 cm).
