Antique Miniature Cup Holder (Silver-Plated) – Classic European Silversmithing with Finely Hammered and Engraved Figural Decoration (Circa 1900) - An antique, rare, and distinctive miniature cup holder with a grip handle, made of base metal and covered with a quality silver-plating layer. Executed in classic Central/Eastern European miniature silversmithing (Germany/Austria, late 19th or early 20th century). The front of the cup is decorated with particularly fine hand-executed hammered relief work and engraving. At the center appears an ornate foliate cartouche containing a pair of figures in classic period European dress (Rococo/Victorian style) — a man and woman in royal court attire. Construction: a miniature cylindrical body delineated by raised metal rings at the upper and lower sections, alongside a delicately curved grip handle in a matching classical design. Originally used for serving miniature liqueur cups or as a luxury display piece. In very good condition; the piece shows attractive natural darkening, with no dents or structural deformations in the metalwork. Height: 6 cm. Diameter: 3.5 cm. 28 g.
